Papyrus update: She is living her best life and is now 15 lbs. Who knew!? Her mom did a DNA test and the results are 40-50% dachshund, 10-20% bassett hound, a small percentage of boxer and golden retriever. Crazy! She goes by Pixie now.
A happy tails update about Cody (was Fillmore): “We just wanted to share that Cody is doing well and getting more comfortable in his new home after only 5 days! He is still nervous with new surroundings but is happy and loves his big brother!”
Dear Dept. of Animal Care and Control,
I just wanted to let you know that I had an excellent experience with Officer Stephanie Pone (Badge #22) and her partner when they came to my house tonight to retrieve a pigeon who had gotten trapped between my window and a flower bed. They were kind, efficient, and creative in finding a solution. You could tell how much they care about animals, and it was great to watch that pigeon fly away!
Thanks all, you do great work!
Mia, our longest resident dog was adopted and will live in Chico with her new family. They said thanks to Ariana for the tip on the awesome dog!

SFACC alumnus Jules was at the SFSPCA for 270 days, waiting for his forever home.
In a foster home for a couple months, he was adopted in July by an amazing family and
now lives in Half-moon Bay.
Thank you to our partner SFSPCA!
New warriors player Jordan Poole visited ACC today to adopt two adult cats: gorgeous Maine Coons Kai and Koa who were surrendered because their owner moved away. The cats instantly loved him – and he loved them. He’s definitely a true cat fan and we’re so happy that he gave two cats an amazing home.
