Silvia Morita is the Principal and CEO of Silvia Morita-Patel Events (SMP Events), a San Francisco–based firm specializing in high-impact events for nonprofit organizations. With more than twenty years of experience in fundraising, development, and event planning—shaped by extensive work across Bay Area nonprofits—she brings a refined ability to integrate exceptional event design with strategic fundraising and stewardship. Since founding the firm in 2014, Silvia has led her team in producing a diverse portfolio of events, serving as a trusted thought partner to deliver tailored, solution-driven experiences that advance client engagement and philanthropic outcomes.
Silvia’s lifelong passion for animals began in her childhood in Brazil, where a home filled with dogs and cats instilled in her a deep respect for their care and protection. This commitment remains profoundly personal. In memory of her two beloved rescue cats, who recently passed, she is dedicated to applying her professional expertise to support and advance the critical work of SF ACC and its mission to care for animals in need.
