Gorgeous Queen Antoinette has found her forever kingdom.
Senior shepherd dreamboat Bruno has gone home! He even has a new shepherd mix brother, also adopted from ACC.
Adoption update! Mama cat Thais arrived at the shelter with her many kittens and a badly injured jaw that makes it difficult to eat. Happily she was adopted by one of our cat volunteers who sent us this update. “What a year it’s been with Cheese (aka Anne Shirley Feeney, fka Thais Nancy Gertrude Stein, fka Thais)! She rules the roost, and especially loves yoga, birdwatching, interior decorating, and holidays. She brings joy every day. Thank you ACC for rescuing her and attending to her and her nine (!!) babies. We are so lucky to have her!”
Adoption update! “Hello everyone at SFACC, I wanted to send you some pics of Maddie. I adopted her March 2024. I love her and she is doing so well. She is even sweet to my little old man cat Quincy. She is super playful and just learning how nice it is to sit on my lap. Thank you for all you do!”

Batito and his fantastic ears were adopted in the fall of 2023. He’s grown into those ears and is doing great with his new family!

Update on Queen Skye (formerly Laura), adopted November 2024! “We are thrilled to share that Queen Skye has seamlessly integrated into our family from the very first day. She is truly the apple of our eye, bringing joy and companionship beyond words.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Skye is her incredible responsiveness—she listens attentively to commands like “come,” “sit,” “go,” “jump,” and “get down,” and most importantly, she understands “no” when we need to guide her away from unwanted behaviors. If the door is open, simply saying “stay” is enough for her to hold her ground.
Her affectionate nature is just as impressive.She warmly greets visitors, enjoys being petted, and is always ready for snuggles, kisses, and headbutts. She follows our household routine perfectly, sleeping through the night without a fuss, and adapting to our schedule like a disciplined and intelligent toddler, except she seems to understand even more!
Skye is a purrfectly lovable, charming, and well-mannered girl, bringing endless delight to our lives. She continues to brighten every moment, and we are deeply grateful to have her as part of our family.
