We got a loving tribute to one of our alumni: “Hi there. I adopted a pit bull from you nearly 13 years ago (11.12.13) and want to share that he was the greatest joy and glue to our family. He had so many animal friends and loved everyone he met along the way. Today, we peacefully said goodbye to Titus, aka Pig Man. He was surrounded by his family and so much love, as he always was. We’re all proud to have given him an amazing life and are grateful SFACC picked him up as a stray in GG Park all those years ago. He really made our family complete and I’m forever honored to have been his🥹💔🪽 thank you.”
Smokey has gone home! He’s going to be living with a feline sister.

Lovebug lap cat Leila came to the shelter a month ago with her kitten and has gone home to soak up lots of love from her new mom!
This young lady and her mom adopted Trixie (new name Brownie) to be friends with her guinea pig Cookie! She wants to be a volunteer here when she gets older.

Adoption update! Sweet little guinea pig Gillian (left) was recently adopted to be the new buddy for a guinea pig who was grieving after she lost her partner. “We just wanted to let you know that Gillian (who we’ve renamed “Lily”) is doing great in her new home. The bonding with her new buddy Sophie has gone very well and they are enjoying hanging out, eating hay and veggies, and getting cuddles together. We’ve taken them both to the vet recently and Gillian/Lily is in great health due to the excellent care she got with your team–thank you!…We can see how much Lily has brightened Sophie’s days. Meanwhile, Lily seems to wake up pop-corning, totally excited about her new digs and family.”
Sweet Miss Gizmo (you can see her face peeking out of the carrier) was adopted after waiting a month and a half.

Adoption update! Charlie–formerly known as Saffron–was adopted back in March. Her adopter says she’s doing great, loves the beach, and is somewhat of an escape artist, but she loves Charlie so much.
